CEPO applauds the positive response of the president to our advocacy calls made towards his speech of opening the national legislature after the long. recess. President responded to 90% of our asks randering from holing national economic forum on the pressing economic situation, reconstitution of the political transitional institutions namely political parties council, national elections commission, national constitution review commission, constitution drafting committee, security transitional arrangements and the implementation of chapter 3 and 4 where president directed ministry of finance to avail the constituency development fund (CDF).
Mr Edmund Yakani, Executive Director of Cepo says president only did not response to our asks on improvement of humanitarian situation in terms of access restrictions and attacks against humanitarian workers and assets. Further we are impressed with the president decision on free primary and secondary education system and specially prioritizing girl child education.
