The SPLA-IO would like to inform the public about the ongoing process of the Unification of second Command in all the Security sectors (SSPDF, NSS, Police and Other Organised Forces)
Recently, the Chairman of NTC, Hon. Tut Gatluak Manime, directed the JDB to complete the allocation of the directorates /Units/ Divisions within the known structures of the SSPDF, Police, NSS and other Organised forces according to the agreed percentage of 60%:40% for the I.G and Opposition forces respectively. The 40% of the Opposition is further divided into 30%:for the SPLA-IO and 10% for SSOA. The SPLA-IO applauds the good way forward shown by the NTC Leadership and the High Level Team from the Presidency.
The SPLA-IO would also like to inform the public that the document circulating the social media showing Allocation of the second Tier Echelon positions for the parties to R-ARCSS (SSPDF) missed out some directorates/units in the SSPDF known structures. The SPLA-IO hopes that the SSPDF will avail these positions for allocation in the Spirit of peace.
The SPLA-IO would like to make it clear once again that this process of allocation of positions to the parties is not called absorption or integration but unification based on the agreed percentage. Let’s use terminologies that are in the R ARCSS.
