In one page document from office of Hon Pagan Amum Okeiech and the Chairman of Real SPLM and NSSOG official speak person stated that the talks between the government of South Sudan Non- signatories will resume on 8th of May 2023 after government of South Sudan requests more consultations from juba.
The leadership of non-Signatories south Sudanese Opposition ( NSSOG) would like to inform its members the people of South Sudan the region and the international community on the developments in the Rome initiative .
The delegations of NSSOG and the Government of South Sudan met in Rome. Italy from 20th to 24th of March, 2023 under the auspices of the community of Sant ’Egidio to deliberate on the way forward concerning the Rome initiative, The parties discussed the agenda submitted by the mediators, which includes eradication of violence, the Round -table conference, governances, security sector reforms, justice, and accountability .
After length deliberation of the agenda, the Government Delegation requested adjournment for consultations. Upon this request, the community of Sant-Egidio adjourned the meeting to resume on the 8th of May 2023.
