JUBA – The South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) led by Gen. Dickson Gatluak Jock Nyuot reaffirms it’s commitment to the signed ceasefire in Addis Ababa.
Today, a numerous media outlets registered confusion over SSUF/A’s fate to ceasefire agreement because of their being an armed splinter group and that also causing panic to the country despite their holding of wide areas in Upper Nile, Equatoria and Bhr El Ghazal regions.
The SSUF/A military spokesman Col. Philip Deng Kuol on phone told thejubamirror that, they’re not an splinter group, but the real mother SSUF/A because only the chairman of the movement Gen. Paul Malong was constitutionally deposed and the group remains signatory to the ceasefire inked at the end of 2017.
“First of all, we’re not a break away faction, but we had last month changed the chairman of the party as it consists in the menifesto and the constitution of SSUF/A”. Col. Philip reveals.
“However, we are still committing to the signed Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA) and we urge the general public to treat such assertions as baseless”. He reiterated.
