The authorities of Lakes State led by Governor Rin Tueny have achieved what can be correctly described as partial peace among the then conflicting communities. It is evident that Rin’s aggressive approach has aided in calming down the wild situation in the State. He has helped to threaten and apprehend thieves and killers, fire squad majority of them, some badly tortured and sought to hold accountable those who are still hiding in the bushes.
Governor Rin is a military officer who has done his job although not so fairly to the people’s expectations but at least, he tried to bag many achievements at the State level.
In the last few months, Rin Tueny is seen to be thirsty for personal agendas and deep hatred for specific communities in Yirol East where he roughly engaged in detention of innocent individuals, grabbing lands and murder of civilians on no account to justice and rule of law.
In recent assembled files of complaints from county administrators and law agencies, Governor Rin has been accused of merciless corruption, about three months salaries have gone missing according to reports. He is so much into land grabbing in Rumbek Centre and East and Yirol East where about 300 Plots of land were surveyed and 120 allocated to him and his associates for sale and settlement. He continues to threaten chiefs, local administrators with State powers and warns them of how long he deserves to rule as the only chosen Governor by President Kiir.
From Baburzeed, reporters have it that Governor Rin Tueny ordered for the arrest and torture of Sultan Madut Buoi for questioning his outrageous land grabbing activities in Yirol East. As I note down this article here in Yirol, Sultan Madut is hospitalized and his health condition is declining every hours of the night.
The entire populace of Yirol East have had their love posioned President Kiir and SPLM as a Party.
