A 15-year-old boy was killed after being beaten during a fight in Koch County of Unity State on Tuesday, a local official said.
Daniel Deng Mayiel, the press secretary in the office of Koch County Commissioner, told Radio Tamazuj on Friday that the deceased, identified as Nhial Gatyang Gatwech, was killed at around 8 pm during a party in the area.
“The incident happened at 8 pm on Tuesday when there was a party. Another young boy punched Daniel dead, but we don’t suspect it to be a revenge attack,” he said.
Mayiel said an investigation has been launched into the killing.
The suspected killer has been identified as Chondok Makuach Malual.
Meanwhile, Gatyang Gatwech, the father of the late Daniel, said the suspect’s family might pay about 51 cows as blood compensation.
