JUBA, 9 November 2022(Office of the President)- His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday met with United Nations high-level delegation led by the Undersecretary-General for Peace Operations Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix and the Chef de Cabinet of the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Courtenay Rattray.
The meeting between the President and the UN officials focused on the issues related to peace and security in the Country.
In his remarks to the media, the Chef de Cabinet of the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Courtenay Rattray said they discussed wide range of pressing issues including the devastating consequences of floods across the country, adding that UN remains committed to supporting South Sudan through humanitarian donations in different areas of needs.
In the attendance were Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs Hon. Tut Gatluak Manime, the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon Mayiik Ayii Deng, and Cabinet Affairs Minister Hon. Dr. Martin Elia Lomoro.
