JUBA – Armed rebel elements loyal to former army chief of staff Gen. Paul Malong Awan rubbishes allegations that their SSUF/A forces involved in the looting of WFP store in Nasir county Upper Nile State over the weekend.
Last Saturday, an SSPDF forces stationed in Nasir county claimed that “The one responsible for the looting of WFP store were SSUF/A criminals loyal to Gen. Paul Malong roaming around for a military build up in Eastern Upper Nile and made it away with over 200 tones of sorghum. They were directed by Maj. Gen. Dickson Gatluak Jock Nyuot. According to the statement obtained by thejubamirror.
When contacted by thejubamirror, SSUF/A military spokesperson Col. Philip Deng Kuol Nguot denies the allegation saying it’s just unfounded source master-minded by those hungry government forces to cover up their daily unacceptable activities against civilians and humanitarian agencies operating in the country.
“SSUF/A is an independent movement that has principles guiding it…and our objective is to liberate this country from the hands of those hungry minds in Juba but not to loot humanitarian aid facilities. “Our SSUF/A gallant forces have never involve in looting any WFP store as alleged”. Col. Philip Deng stresses.
“We appeal to the general public to treat it as a baseless allegations”. Deng added.
